Hotels in Warsaw, Poland:
The best hotel/apartment location is in the Palace of Culture and Science area, which is in the center of everything you should see and experience in the city.
For hotel or apartment booking, I recommend using one of three options:
Important tip: It is recommended to check prices on each website and book where the best conditions and prices are available.
1.For hotel or apartment reservations, I suggest using Booking.com. This convenient and excellent site allows you to find the best price for a hotel or apartment. This site is very common and popular with travelers worldwide, offering more than 28 million apartments/hotels from around the world. The company has a customer service that works 24/7 with ease. For booking click here or use the search below:
2.Also you can check for accommodation at TripAdvisor. For booking and more details click here or use the link below:
3.Another reliable platform for accommodation booking is "Agoda", the platform makes discounted rates available at approximately 2.9 million hotels and private homes around the globe, ranging from budget options to five-star luxury . For booking Click here for the website or use the search below:
Good to know:
The main currency in Poland is the Polish Zloty (PLN), not the Euro. You'll find plenty of places in Warsaw to exchange money. TIP: Change your money in big shopping malls rather than on the streets, and avoid changing money from individuals.
Most shops and attractions in Warsaw accept both cash and credit cards, making it convenient for all your purchases.
Tax-Free:
The city is known, among other things, for its wide variety of shopping areas and relatively affordable prices.
Anyone who is not a permanent resident in Europe can receive a tax refund of approximately 23% (depending on the commission of the company that refunds the tax) for all purchases in the city in the amount of 200 zlotys.
In most stores you can ask the cashier for a tax refund form, most places work with Global Blue
In order to receive the form, you need to present a passport (which is not European) and fill in several details.
On the day of your flight you must go to the customs officials in order to get their stamp on all the forms, it is very important to keep the items in their original packaging/with the original receipt, and of course do this process before depositing your luggage because the customs representative will ask to see all the products you are requesting Tax Return.
After completing all the forms, you have two options to receive the refund in cash/credit:
1. Go to a change office that works with Global Blue and receive the refund in cash.
2. Send the signed forms in the envelope you received to Global Blue through designated mailboxes in the airport, this way you can only get a refund by credit and it will take more time.
SIM for internet connection:
If your device supports a virtual SIM (E-SIM), in order to save money and time, I highly recommend purchasing a virtual SIM from the company "Airalo", a very popular and excellent company among travelers. You can purchase the E-SIM through the following link: click here to purchase, or in the app: click here to purchase.
A second option is to buy a SIM in the city center from one of the local cellular providers, I personally do not recommend buying in the airport because the prices are very expensive relative to the city.
