Hotels in London, England:

  • We stayed at the beautiful central aparthotel- Wilde Aparthotels London Covent Garden. Extremely Central and close to all the main places to visit in London, restaurants, public transport, etc. For booking and more details click here.

  • In my opinion, the best accommodation location is near the Covent Garden area (especially for first-time comers). This location will position you in the center of all the city's main places.

For hotel booking, I recommend using one of three options:

Important tip: It is recommended to check prices on each website and book where the best conditions and prices are available.

1.For hotel or apartment reservations I suggest using Booking.com, a convenient and excellent site that allows you to find the best price for a hotel or apartment, a site that is very common and popular with travelers around the world, offering more than 28 million apartments/hotels from around the world. The company has a customer service that works 24/7 with ease. For booking click here or use the search below:

2.Also you can check for accommodation at TripAdvisor. For booking click here or use the link below:

3.Another reliable platform for accommodation booking is "Agoda", the platform makes discounted rates available at approximately 2.9 million hotels and private homes around the globe, ranging from budget options to five-star luxury . For booking Click here for the website or use the search below:

Arriving from the airport:

  • London has six airports: London City, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, London Luton, London Stansted, and London Southend. The most common ones for arrival are London-Heathrow, London-Gatwick, London-Stansted and London-Luton

  • Some of them are well linked by public transport to the city as London Heathrow, London City and London-Stansted. But be assured that from every airport you can get to the city center by either way.

  • To get to the city center and your hotel you can either use(depending on arrival time and hotel location):

1.Public transport/ designated shuttles. After arrival to the city, depending on your accommodation location, you can either walk/ use the tube (Metro)/ public buses or Taxis; for public transport tickets and timetable, click here. To some of the shuttles/trains from/to the airport tickets can be purchased from "Tiqets" an excellent and very popular website among worldwide travelers, in one of the links below:

2.By Taxi/Cab from/to the airport. Note that a taxi or cab is not cheap and is further away from the airport from the city the prices rise. For booking ahead transport from the airport, click here.

Useful notes about London, England:

  • During peak seasons (Summers from June to August and the winters in December and January), London can be very crowded, and a prebooking of things you want to visit, restaurants, etc, is highly advisable to make the most of your vacation.

  • Most businesses in the city prefer credit card payments, and the currency in London is GBP (pound sterling) and not EURO.

  • London has a distinctive charm and atmosphere that can be experienced in every season. During the festive season, the city is adorned with breathtaking Christmas decorations, offering a must-see experience. In contrast, spring and summer bring a vibrant, green, and beautiful landscape, showcasing London's diverse and ever-changing allure throughout the year.

SIM for internet connection:

  • If your device supports a virtual SIM (E-SIM), in order to save money and time, I highly recommend purchasing a virtual SIM from the company "Airalo", a very popular and excellent company among travelers. You can purchase the E-SIM through the following link: click here to purchase, or in the app: click here to purchase.

  • A second option is to buy a SIM in the city center from one of the local cellular providers, I personally do not recommend buying in the airport because the prices are very expensive relative to the city.
